CHR in the race against heart disease

This October, the Centre for Heart Research raised $4,537 for lifesaving heart disease research through the Heart Foundation’s MyMarathon.

MyMarathon is a fitness and fundraising challenge that encourages people to run, jog, or walk 42.2 kilometres at their own pace. As heart researchers, we wanted to show our support for the thousands of Australians living with heart disease. The donations received will help fund lifesaving heart disease research that makes a real difference to people’s lives.

A fantastic effort from the whole team surpassed our goal of raising $3000. Special mentions go to team captain Sindhu, who traveled 232km, and Tejas, who raised a whopping $1,200.
